French Services
Description
French services are available for child speech, language, and reading. Please note that we do not provide French instruction or tutoring services. Rather, Shoreline provides assessment and treatment for children who have known or suspected speech and language disorders that affects their ability to communicate in French and/or English.
An assessment tells us whether a child's communication skills are within normal limits for their age and language exposure, or if they meet the criteria for a communication disorder. To diagnose a communication disorder in a bilingual child, they must be assessed in all of their languages. For example, if a child is bilingual in English and French, they would need to be assessed in both English and French.
Services are provided by our lead on French clinical services, Jennika Soles, SLP-Reg, SLP(C).
